Sputnik is a Congo African Grey
She is our third bird.
Sputnik was born on May 17, 2006 at Stewart's Bird Farm in Harleysville, PA.
We purchased Sputnik from Bob Freitas
We were lucky enough to get Sputnik when she was only 6 weeks old. We hand fed her until she was about 12 weeks old.
This really helped with the bonding.
The name is again from one of our other interests - Astronomy. Sputnik was the first satellite launched into space by Russia.
